Website development for South African businesses

SFDS builds websites, online stores and small business apps for companies anywhere in South Africa. Every price is public and fixed in Rand, the whole process runs online, and the domain, hosting and payment accounts are in your name from day one. Starter websites are R3,950, Business websites R7,950 and Online Business stores R12,950.

What website development at SFDS includes

Website development is more than a nice home page. It covers the pages your customers need, forms that reach you, a site that loads fast on a phone, and the technical setup that lets Google read it. We build every site to a fixed scope, so you know what you get before you pay anything.

Timelines are estimates and start when your content is uploaded. Extra pages are R450 each. Extras such as online booking (R2,450), a blog (R1,200) or SEO Plus (R1,450) are priced on the pricing page.

How a project runs, start to finish

There are no sales calls and no quote ping-pong. You choose a package in the price calculator, answer a short brief and get a written, fixed-price proposal straight away. The proposal is valid for 14 days.

After launch you get 30 days of defect fixes by email. If you want ongoing updates, care plans start at R450 a month, but they are optional. The full step-by-step is on how it works.

You own the accounts, not us

Many small businesses only discover who really owns their website when they try to leave a developer. At SFDS the answer is simple: you do. You open your own hosting account with 1-grid (about R99 to R269 a month, paid to 1-grid), you register your own .co.za domain (about R100 a year) and you open your own Yoco or PayFast account if you sell online.

SFDS may earn a disclosed affiliate commission from 1-grid, but we never mark up hosting and we take no cut of your card sales. If you move to another developer later, everything is already in your name. Read the client ownership rules for the details.

Built for how South Africans browse

Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone, often on mobile data. We keep pages light, images compressed and layouts simple, so the site opens quickly and the WhatsApp or enquiry button is always easy to reach. Every page gets its own title and description so Google can show the right page for the right search.

If you need more than a website, such as bookings, online ordering or a loyalty card, look at our small business apps from R6,950.

Anywhere in South Africa

We are not tied to one city. Because the process is fully online, we work with businesses in Gauteng, the Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, the Eastern Cape, the Free State, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, North West and the Northern Cape in the same way. You never need to travel or book a meeting.
